Geneva is a multilingual & international city

Another advantage of Switzerland’s location is that it is multilingual. Its 7 million inhabitants share four national languages: German, French, Italian and Romansh. This is why 36 international organizations (from the United Nations European headquarters to the Red Cross), 200 diplomatic missions and more than 300 NGOs feel at home in a cosmopolitan city like Geneva, where 40% of the population are foreigners. The city has 46 quality private schools – from nurseries and primary schools to business schools and universities.
